Leaked iPhone 17 CAD Renders Reveal Bold Design Shift

Although Apple hasn’t yet released the iPhone 17 series, preliminary leaks hint at a significant change in design – a style reminiscent of Google’s Pixel range. The leaker, Majin Bu, has recently unveiled CAD sketches of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the anticipated iPhone 17 Air. These drawings reveal an innovative new camera setup.

As per the depictions, both the Pro and Air variants of the upcoming model will showcase a broader, pill-like camera bar that stretches across the upper part of the device instead of Apple’s traditional square camera setup. The design of the iPhone 17 Air seems to mirror this style but with only one lens on the rear, whereas the standard iPhone 17 maintains its familiar appearance similar to previous generations.

For several months now, whispers about an upcoming iPhone 17 Air model have been swirling around, indicating a possible sleeker design meant to take over from the Plus series. The buzz indicates that it might incorporate a titanium frame, setting it apart from the Pro versions, which are predicted to revert to aluminum. Interestingly, Apple debuted titanium with the iPhone 15 Pro range, but industry analyst Jeff Pu hypothesizes that ecological issues could lead Apple to reassess aluminum for the iPhone 17 Pro lineup.

Generally, Apple introduces its latest iPhone models in September. Thus, we’re several months away from any official announcement. If true, the iPhone 17 lineup might bring about one of the biggest design overhauls Apple has seen in a long time.
