As a long-time fan of daytime soaps, I must confess that my heart skipped a beat when I heard the rumors about Lawrence Saint-Victor leaving “The Bold and the Beautiful.” With his exceptional acting skills and behind-the-scenes talent, Carter Walton has been a beloved character in the Forrester family for over a decade.
There’s a lot of excitement building up for the upcoming CBS daytime soap opera, “The Gates,” premiering in January 2025. Fans of the genre are eagerly speculating about who might be cast in this series. It revolves around an affluent Black family with strong political connections, primarily residing within a gated community. No official casting decisions have been made as of yet, but there’s buzz that “The Bold and the Beautiful” might lose Carter Walton at some point in the future.
Last year marked my 10-year milestone on the soap opera, and I’ve been deeply involved in the show’s scriptwriting since 2021. Despite whispers among fans that I might be transitioning to The Gates, there’s been no hint of such a move. In fact, I’ve personally denied these speculations.
In response to a fan’s inquiry on an Instagram post published on September 3, celebrating his Emmy nomination, his son’s birthday, and his Summer 2024 achievements, Saint-Victor clarified the speculation about him switching soap operas, as this had been rumored as a spoiler on several forums.
His response was “That’s completely incorrect. Completely fabricated.” He also acknowledged and reposted a fan on X who had shared his confirmation that there is no truth to the rumors about him leaving The Bold and the Beautiful. It remains uncertain where this rumor originated from, other than fans speculating about him potentially starring in a main role for a new daytime show, but it’s baseless.
In this scenario, Saint-Victor persists in his roles as Forrester Creation’s Chief Financial Officer and Ridge’s trusted friend. The upcoming plotline revolves around the ongoing challenge of “Hope for the Future,” a predicament that has left the executive team worried about the line’s dwindling profits. Despite Hope’s initial attempt to address the issue in one quarter, progress seems slow as the situation remains unchanged.
Based on leaked information, next Friday, September 13th, an important discussion involving Carter, Eric, and Steffy is expected. Carter has shown some flexibility in regards to HFTF’s recovery, but he’s also been straightforward about the financial figures. The outcome of their talk could potentially stir up trouble within the company.
It’s intriguing to consider if Hope will react by chasing after Finn or instead focus on Carter (as suggested) to gain an edge at Forrester. Either way, we’ll be on the edge of our seats watching how this storyline plays out for him and the rest of this troubled clan.
