Rebecca Romijn says Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season 4 is ‘almost finished filming’
In a recent interview, the actor from the X-Men series provided some insights on the upcoming season 4 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Rebecca Romijn shared with Comic Book Resources that the team is nearly wrapping up filming for Season 4, which hints at a potential release of the next-to-last episode around mid-2026.
Based on previous patterns, it’s common for new seasons of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds to air approximately a year after production wraps up. For example, filming for the third season concluded in May 2024, but the episode didn’t air until July 2025 on television.
Romijn provided a production update on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which aligns with the latest information shared by series director Jordan Canning. On July 7, Canadian director Jordan Canning posted on Instagram to announce that they had completed filming half of Season 4’s fifth episode.
According to Canning’s latest update, it appears that the fourth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is almost completed, implying that we might be seeing it as early as this summer or fall.
Currently, it’s confirmed that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will have a fifth season, making it the final installment in the franchise. Interestingly, this last chapter will only consist of six episodes, unlike the previous four seasons which all featured ten episodes.
Although there have been optimistic reports about the last two seasons of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, no official release date has been announced for these upcoming episodes.
