According to recent reports from Deadline, the talented actor Garret Dillahunt, known for his role in Fear the Walking Dead, has stepped into the DC Universe, taking on a significant recurring part in one of their shows.

As per Deadline’s article, actor Dillahunt has been cast to portray the character of William Macon. This modern cowboy is characterized as a self-important, conspiratorial figure who hides his relentless ambition beneath a polished and calculating exterior.

Dillahunt is primarily recognized for his performances in popular dramas like Deadwood and Fear the Walking Dead. Additionally, he has appeared in several significant productions such as No Country for Old Men, ER, The 4400, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Winter’s Bone, Looper, and 12 Years a Slave.

Who else is in the Lanterns cast?

In the upcoming series, Aaron Pierre will play John Stewart, while Kyle Chandler has been chosen to portray Hal Jordan. It’s been reported by THR that HBO intends to start filming between January and June of next year, so we can expect further details soon.

The TV series titled “Lanterns” is scheduled to be overseen by Chris Mundy (of True Detective: Night Country and Ozark fame), along with Damon Lindelof (known for The Leftovers and Watchmen) and Tom King (Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow writer). Interestingly, Lindelof and King will not only executive produce but also co-write the series. This project was officially greenlit as a full series by HBO in June 2024, approximately a year and a half after its initial announcement in January 2023.

The plot of this show revolves around John Stewart, a fresh recruit, and Hal Jordan, a renowned Green Lantern, who are both space police officers. They become entangled in a mysterious case on earth, involving a homicide in the midwest United States.
