Besides Chandler and Pierre, the Lanterns’ ensemble also features Kelly Macdonald playing Kerry, Garret Dillahunt portraying William Macon, Poorna Jagannathan in the role of Zoe, and Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro.

The story revolves around two space police officers, John Stewart and Hal Jordan, who are both Green Lanterns. They become entangled in a sinister mystery on Earth when they investigate a murder that has occurred in the heart of America. This is the essence of the plot for the series.

Pierre shared on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show that he received a call from DC about playing John Stewart. He’s incredibly grateful and thrilled to join the team. For him, John Stewart is a character who embodies class, charisma, strength, and identity. He can’t wait to breathe life into this iconic figure in a live-action setting.

The release date for Lanterns is still undetermined, but it’s anticipated to debut in the year 2026. Previously, creator Gunn hinted that the premiere might coincide with the launch of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which currently has a scheduled release date of June 26, 2026, from Warner Bros.
