But when asked about a potential timeline for release, the artist behind Poker Face was honest and said she wasn’t sure.
During the interview, when the interviewer displayed a photo of Beyoncé and inquired whether Lady Gaga would reprise her role in “Telephone,” Gaga responded ambiguously with “perhaps.” Upon this response, the interviewer affirmed, “Indeed, you are being honest about that.
Moreover, Lady Gaga refuted claims that scheduling issues with the Texas Hold’Em singer were responsible for the delay in releasing Telephone Part 2.
In a 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lady Gaga had previously discussed the potential for a sequel to “Telephone” titled “Telephone Part 2.” When asked about the possibility, she said, “If Beyoncé ever calls me, I’d be happy to answer the phone.”
Following fan theories about the release of Telephone Part 2, which started in February 2024, people began discussing due to Beyoncé’s Act II teaser on Instagram. This hinted at the second part of her Renaissance trilogy, later known as Cowboy Carter. In the teaser, Beyoncé was depicted driving a car similar to the one she drove in Telephone.
