In a U.S. cinema near you in October 2024, Todd Phillips directs the follow-up to the 2019’s Joker, titled Folie à Deux. This time around, Joaquin Phoenix returns as Arthur Fleck, with Lady Gaga stepping into the role of Harley “Lee” Quinzel.
The movie “Folie à Deux” by the Joker garnered mostly unfavorable reactions from both viewers and reviewers. It was even nominated for a total of seven Razzie Awards, among them Worst Movie, Worst Actor, and Worst Actress.

Speaking with Elle magazine, Lady Gaga opened up about people’s reactions to Joker 2.
She explained, “Sometimes, people simply don’t take a liking to certain things. It’s straightforward. I believe being an artist necessitates the readiness for people not always to appreciate your work. Despite something falling short of your intended impact, you persevere.
She noted that the apprehension about not succeeding can, at times, inflict the greatest harm on an artist.

In the sequel to Joker, Brendan Gleeson plays Jackie Sullivan, Catherine Keener portrays Maryanne Stewart, Zazie Beetz takes on the role of Sophie Dumond, Steve Coogan is cast as Paddy Meyers, Harry Lawtey steps into Harvey Dent’s shoes, and Leigh Gill embodies Gary Puddles.
The movie summary for ‘Joker: Folie À Deux’ states that Arthur Fleck is confined in Arkham Asylum, awaiting trial for his actions as the Joker. In this challenging situation, Arthur discovers true love and uncovers the music within him that he’s always carried.
