Actor Dhanush is gearing up for the premiere of “Kubera,” as he’s partnering with director Sekhar Kammula for the first time. In a chat with Cinema Vikatan, director Sekhar opened up about his movie, sharing that he initially hesitated to share the story of “Kubera” with Dhanush, popularly known as Captain Miller.
During his interview, the director shared that he initially hesitated to tell the story to Dhanush as he had concerns about their relationship and questioned if Dhanush was familiar with his work. Yet, when he reached out to him, Dhanush surprised him by discussing his favorite films from the director’s collection.
For a while now, the making of this movie has been underway, and it’s being promoted as an intriguing political thriller. In the leading roles, you’ll find Nagarjuna Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna, with Jim Sarbh and Dalip Tahil contributing their talents in supporting roles.
The movie is likely centered around the story of a homeless man experiencing significant upheaval, leading to an extraordinary metamorphosis. This cinematic piece is rumored to delve into the topics of avarice and aspiration, featuring characters grappling with ethical quandaries.
The movie featuring Dhanush hasn’t been assigned a release date yet, but sneak peeks of characters give us an enticing glimpse into the film’s universe. As we progress, Dhanush’s recent body of work is generating considerable excitement.
Based on current rumors, there’s speculation that Dhanush could team up with Suriya for an upcoming movie. However, no official word has been given yet. If the gossip is true, the film, believed to be directed by Lucky Baskhar under Venky Atluri, may feature both actors as the main leads, making it a potential dual-hero project.
It’s worth noting that Dhanush and Venky have teamed up before for the film “Vaathi,” and now, Dhanush is busy directing projects such as “NEEK” and “Idly Kadai.
2025 can’t come soon enough for me! I’m absolutely thrilled about not one, but TWO upcoming movies that I simply can’t wait to see. First up, there’s NEEK, a romantic comedy set to release on February 21st. And who better to lead this debut than Dhanush’s talented nephew Pavish?
But wait, there’s more! On April 10th, I’ll be diving into Idly Kadai, a heartwarming comedy-drama that promises to be a feel-good treat. Can’t ask for anything better than that, right? So mark your calendars folks, these two are not to be missed!
