Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter has started training for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
Krysten Ritter portrayed the main character in Marvel’s and Netflix’s Jessica Jones series, debuting in 2015 and lasting for three seasons. Later, she reappeared in her role in the 2017 miniseries The Defenders, where Charlie Cox played Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Mike Colter portrayed Luke Cage, and Finn Jones took on the character of Danny Rand/Iron Fist.
This month, the news came out that Jessica Jones from Ritter’s series will show up in Marvel TV’s Daredevil: Rebirth Season 2.
Ritter recently posted a picture showing her working out at the gym with Cox, as they gear up for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. Here’s a snapshot of the image:
What do we know about Jessica Jones’ role in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2?
At the moment, it’s not yet certain how significant a part Jessica Jones will play in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. The lineup also includes Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter/Bullseye, Michael Gandolfini as Daniel Blake, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, and Matthew Lillard.
Ritter expressed her joy upon hearing about the casting for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, as reported by Variety, stating, “I’m thrilled to be back! I’m looking forward to revisiting Jessica after three seasons and ‘The Defenders’, and now joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I can hardly wait to bring back this renowned character, and while I won’t reveal too many details, let me tell you there are some amazing things ahead for Jessica Jones. This season promises to be incredible!
As a die-hard Marvel fan, I’m left guessing if Colter and Jones will suit up again for their superhero gigs in upcoming MCU films or if the Defenders crew will reunite. Unfortunately, no official word has dropped about this exciting possibility just yet.
A premiere date for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has not yet been announced by Marvel Studios.
