Initially, I was deeply invested in the unfolding drama of The New Day, but things took a dramatic and unfortunate turn when WWE abruptly removed Jones from our shared narrative due to domestic abuse allegations. This sudden disappearance left me stunned, as his character had been woven into our tale. More recently, Kofi Kingston has expressed his feelings on the abrupt exit of Jones from the storyline.
Kofi Kingston talks about adjusting after Odyssey Jones’ WWE firing
In a recent chat with the New York Post, Kofi Kingston talked about the sudden disappearance of Odyssey Jones from WWE TV. He mused on the volatile nature of WWE, pointing out that situations can shift dramatically in an instant.
He stated, “One of the main lessons that I’ve learned is that you never know what tomorrow is going to bring with WWE. You always have to be ready to adjust at the drop of a hat.” Kingston added, “And it’s your ability to adjust and roll with the punches that pulls you up. Nothing ever goes as planned.”
As for Odyssey Jones, when asked for my thoughts, I shared, “Well, when he departed, it left us with a challenge: we needed to find new strategies to maintain the narrative and progress, as they say, ‘the show must always go on.’ So, we adapted, seeking the most effective ways forward.
