Kofi Kingston Fires Back at Karrion Kross Over Brock Lesnar Loss Remark

As a long-time WWE fan who has followed Kofi Kingston‘s journey since his debut in 2007, I must admit that I was captivated by the “KofiMania” phenomenon and the emotional rollercoaster it represented for fans like me. The way Kofi Kingston rose to fame with his compelling storyline and eventual victory over Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 was truly a magical moment that will be remembered in WWE history.

Recently on Raw, WWE champion Karrion Kross mentioned the surprising defeat of Kofi Kingston at the hands of Brock Lesnar. In 2019, there was a significant surge in popularity for Kofi Kingston, leading to the widely celebrated phenomenon called “KofiMania.” This reached its peak when Kofi Kingston claimed the WWE Championship from Daniel Bryan (formerly known as Bryan Danielson) at WrestleMania 35.

1) Kingston’s title victory significantly strengthened WWE’s bond with viewers, as it produced an unforgettable moment in recent history. He valiantly protected the championship from several top contenders such as Dolph Ziggler, Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, and Kevin Owens.

Yet, Kofi Kingston’s rule came to an unexpected end on SmackDown’s 20th anniversary when Brock Lesnar shockingly defeated him in just eight seconds. This swift defeat marked the conclusion of Kingston’s 180-day tenure as champion. The sudden loss left fans disillusioned, having deeply connected with Kofi Kingston’s moving narrative.

1. After the crushing loss, no rematch was offered to Kingston, instead, he was demoted and continued in the tag team division ever since, becoming a consistent member of The New Day.

1. In the recent episode of WWE Raw, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods persisted with their rivalry against Karrion Kross and The Final Testament. Prior to their contest with Woods, Kross tried to co-opt Woods into his group. Before the bout, Kross mocked Kofi Kingston by proposing that Woods persuade his companion to retire following his embarrassing six-second defeat to Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship title.

“Karrion Kross is suggesting that Kofi Kingston be informed, in no uncertain terms, that it may be time for him to retire following his quick title loss on WWE Raw.” #WWERaw

It looks like Kingston didn’t let Kross off the hook for his remark in the latest episode of WWE Raw.)

Kofi Kingston response to Karrion Kross: ‘8 seconds longer than you’ve held a title’

1. “Former WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston, has chosen to counteract Karrion Kross’s remark. Kingston used X (previously Twitter) to set the record straight about the ‘6 seconds’ claim and subtly criticize Kross’s tenure on the main roster.”

8 seconds, that’s @realKILLERkross we’re talking about here, not just 6. That’s a full 8 seconds more than I’ve seen you hold the main roster title so far.
