As a seasoned gamer and DC enthusiast who’s seen more animated series than I care to count, let me tell you that Kite Man: Hell Yeah! has been a breath of fresh air amidst the superhero clutter. From its humble beginnings as a sidekick in Harley Quinn, Kite Man has grown into an endearing character who deserves his own spotlight.
Without a doubt, DC has a knack for producing outstanding animated series. From classics like “Batman: The Animated Series” and “Batman Beyond”, to fan favorites such as “Teen Titans”, there’s no shortage of exceptional older shows to enjoy.
During the 2020s, progress seemed to slow down for many until the release of the animated “Harley Quinn” series. While children became fans of “Teen Titans Go!”, many adults found themselves at home and tuned into “Harley Quinn”. Over time, this show paved the way for “Kite Man: Hell Yeah!” which has just completed its first season.
Instead of seeming cheesy, the show surprisingly wasn’t. Although Kite Man isn’t the most popular or charismatic character, the series managed to make him more endearing and offered him a romantic opportunity that many viewers were rooting for. We all expected Harley and Ivy to be together in the end.
With the entire first season of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! now available, many of us are anxiously waiting to learn if the show will continue for another season. If DC needs any additional encouragement, I’m more than happy to provide it since the series concluded so spectacularly.
These 4 reasons are enough to get Kite Man: Hell Yeah! a season 2.
1. We need more of Kite Man and Golden Glider’s romance!
Despite my previous gush about Kite Man (Chuck) and Golden Glider (Lisa)’s enchanting romance, let me reiterate: they have a truly charming and heartwarming relationship that oozes affection. It’s evident they cherish one another deeply, and their mutual respect shines through in every interaction. Often overlooked, Kite Man finds his due adoration and affection in Golden Glider’s company.
Watching these two characters face numerous challenges throughout season 1 piques my curiosity about their journey in season 2. Given all they’ve been through and the intense trials of their bond, I can only wish that they will find happiness together, perhaps even tying the knot.
2. The finale of season 1 left so many unanswered questions
As a devoted gamer, I can’t help but share my excitement about the season 1 finale of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! It was an absolute rollercoaster, and if you were there for the ride, you know just how mind-blowing it was. There was this one plot twist that none of us could have predicted, yet it unfolded right before our eyes. The way it concluded left viewers like me with plenty to ponder. Will that character reappear in future episodes? And if they do, will they prove to be as sinister as the finale suggested? It’s a mystery that has me on the edge of my seat!
Beyond the events involving that character, I find myself yearning for deeper insights into some of the other captivating characters and unexplored plotlines that could unfold in the future narrative, if you catch my drift.
3. The show was truly better than expected
This next reason might be entirely selfish, but I didn’t have the highest of hopes when going into Kite Man: Hell Yeah! I knew that it was from the team behind Harley Quinn so I shouldn’t have been so negative. Even so, the series absolutely blew me out of the water with just how good it was. There was so much action, humor, romance, and truly all the hallmarks of a good animated TV series.
Apart from boasting an outstanding voice talent and intriguing characters, Kite Man: Hell Yeah! caters to diverse preferences. If you’re drawn by romance, action, or simply seeking entertaining distraction, this series ticks all the boxes for you.
4. Bane is finally getting the spotlight he rightfully deserves
Once more, the final point is another self-centered reason, yet I appreciated how the series “Kite Man: Hell Yeah! “depicted Bane’s character. In the series “Harley Quinn“, Bane often lacks the recognition and screen time he deserves; however, this show alters that. Not only is Bane depicted as Kite Man’s closest friend, but he plays a more significant role in the storyline involving Golden Glider’s mother. I won’t delve too deeply into it, but it provided a refreshing shift for Bane’s character development.
Previously, I expressed my viewpoint that Bane would benefit from having a partner, and I still strongly believe in that statement. Regardless if he ends up with a partner or not, Bane is an enjoyable character and one that I eagerly anticipate in every episode. Furthermore, the introduction of Goldilocks provides him with additional depth, paving the way for more stories centered around Bane. So, it’s difficult to find fault with that development.
In summary, Season 1 of “Kite Man: Hell Yeah!” is packed with numerous plotlines, making it difficult for DC to cancel the show. However, time will tell how things unfold. Given that James Gunn admires animation, we can optimistically anticipate that “Kite Man: Hell Yeah!” soars towards a renewal for Season 2.
Season 1 of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! is currently streaming on Max.
