Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Fan Exploits NPC Pick-Up Feature In A Hilarious Way To Turn The Entire City Into Clowns

Summary

  • A Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 player turned the entire city of Kuttenberg into clowns by exploiting NPC behavior.
  • They dropped hundreds of jester outfits all over the town and waited for NPCs to pick them up and equip them.
  • Sigismund stands no chance now.

One of the best parts of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is the NPC behaviour, which makes Bohemia feel like a living, breathing place. Peasants will remember and report crimes you’ve committed, deduce that you’ve stolen an item after catching you sneaking around, and even pick up random items that you’ve discarded.

It’s this exact feature that one player exploited in order to turn the entire city of Kuttenberg into a circus. While you’re out and about looking for better pieces of armour, you may have come across a peasant or two wearing a costume that looks like Tingle from the Zelda series. That’s not a fairy, it’s a jester’s outfit, and a player managed to make all of Kuttenberg dress up in one.

Kuttenberg Has Turned Into A Circus

Sverkerbonk used developer commands to create many jester outfits and scattered them throughout the city. Over time, as planned, non-player characters (NPCs) collected these jester costumes. Eventually, each NPC who picked up the outfit decided to wear it, resulting in the entire city being filled with people dressed as clowns.

One person commented, “That’s hilariously amusing! The antics you can pull off with those developer commands!” Clearly, they were feeling left out and wished that consoles also had such developer commands.

Another puzzled player said, “Hell I’m surprised they change into the outfit, I figured it would be like Elder Scrolls where if you do something similar or reverse pick pocket the NPC will still prioritize stats and value when compared to what they already have equip.” That is strange. I have no idea how they got everyone to change into the costume.

No matter how you look at it, Kuttenberg looking like a jester is quite amusing to see. This fits wonderfully with the Yakety Sax tune from the Benny Hill show, especially if there are guards in jester costumes chasing you around too.
