Dancing with the Devil is one of the numerous main missions in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and here’s a guide on how to finish it:
1. Speak to Lady Johanka for the quest initiation.
2. Gather information about the missing items required for the dance.
3. Locate and collect the necessary items.
4. Return the items to Lady Johanka for the dance preparation.
5. Dance with the Devil (Lord Savio) on the appointed night.
6. Complete the dance successfully to complete the quest.
7. Receive your reward from Lady Johanka upon completion.
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, certain key missions demand significant choices that can have profound effects on the entire narrative. One such mission is “Dancing with the Devil,” which serves as the 23rd major quest.
In this scenario, Henry and his companions strategize for an assault on Maleshov with the intention of seizing Von Bergow. Yet, the operation encounters several unexpected hurdles during its progression.
Remember, the journey ahead is filled with many battles, so make sure you’re well-equipped. Pack sturdy armor, reliable weapons, and don’t forget a firearm too. In addition, carrying some first aid supplies like bandages will prove useful during our adventure.
Planning the Attack
Kick off your journey by chatting with Zizka at the Devil’s Den. Following that conversation, a strategic gathering takes place to discuss the assault on Maleshov. Once the battle strategy is decided, the game moves into nighttime, and the attack is imminent. At this juncture, Dry Devil suggests an evil plan.
You’re faced with a choice: One option is to carry out the plan that involves burning down the village as a means of causing confusion among the guards. The other alternative is to reject this course of action, which includes avoiding harming the innocent. Each decision leads to distinct outcomes.
Choosing to Burn the Village
Should you choose to set fire to the village, Henry and his associates charge into it, initiating a tumultuous fight. It would be wise to alert some residents to flee before the fires reach them. Once you’ve overcome the initial wave of adversaries, additional reinforcements will likely arrive as well, requiring you to engage them too.
Choosing Not to Burn the Village
If you don’t support Dry Devil’s plan, challenging him to a duel is the only option. But, if you lose, you’ll have no choice but to comply with his plan to burn the village. However, if you emerge victorious, you’ll guarantee a more covert strategy instead.
Instead of burning Maleshov, opting for sparing him could lead to a more favorable outcome. Even though the actual occurrences won’t alter, the responses from people regarding Henry’s actions certainly will. Consequently, choosing to save Maleshov brings you nearer to achieving a better ending.
Attacking Maleshov
No matter which route I find myself on (or if circumstances compel me), the remainder of this adventure unfolds in much the same fashion. If I decide to torch the village, this part of the quest becomes less challenging since some guards will be distracted by the flames. I’ll then need to ascend a ladder to reach the castle wall and unlock the initial gate, granting my allies entry.
Following this, join forces with your allies and carry on the attack, vanquishing any foes that cross our path. When all the adversaries have been eliminated, engage in conversation with Zizka and Capon. No matter what you converse about at this juncture, they will negotiate with Von Bergow.
Negotiating with Van Bergow
In their meeting, it’s uncovered that Lady Rosa is being kept captive by Von Bergow. The outcome of this negotiation could influence your bond with Rosa, so be mindful in your decisions. Initially, the intention was to destroy the tower, but since Von Bergow has a hostage, no one seems eager to carry out the plan anymore.
Here are two possible scenarios:
1. You could engage in negotiations with Von Bergow and persuade him to release Rosa peacefully. This would be a non-violent approach.
2. Alternatively, you might decide to rescue Rosa by force, which would involve breaking into the tower, overcoming any soldiers present, and freeing Rosa. This would be a more aggressive approach.
Either way, it’s important to note that you cannot and should not burn down the tower, as this would harm your relationship with Rosa.
Regardless of the method, Bergow surrenders and enters your custody, and Rosa is saved.
That was a complete guide on the Dancing with the Devil quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
