Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Civitas Pragensis Mission Guide

In this tutorial, we’ll embark on a final confrontation with Erik, following the ‘Civitas Pragensis’ mission in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, the Civitas Pragensis quest follows directly after The Italian Job and is the second mission you encounter once you’ve passed the point of no return. This mission, albeit brief, carries significant weight in the game as it presents important decisions that will impact your journey’s conclusion.

In this final stage of the mission, Henry will meet Erik for a climactic showdown, and they’ll engage in a duel. Before the battle starts, you can undermine Erik by selecting specific dialogue choices. As we delve into the Civitas Pragensis quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, let’s see how it unfolds.

How To Complete the Civitas Pragensis Quest

Initially, Henry along with his companions will rejoice over their accomplished robbery. Subsequently, you have the option to engage in a duel with Erik. Converse with Zizka who will inform you that Sigismund’s troops have withdrawn. Spend all your dialogue options with Zizka as it doesn’t affect the conversation much here.

It’s now time to bid farewell to Rosa. She can be found at the exit of Suchdol castle. You have the chance to chat with two additional individuals, though it’s not mandatory that you do so.

As a gamer, I’d approach it like this:

First things first, I need to seek out Janosh. He hangs out in the courtyard, easy to spot. Once I find him, I’ll get a handy marker on my map to guide me. When I talk to him, he’ll only have a single conversation option, which makes it straightforward.

Next up, I’ve got to join my fellow allies, including Dry Devil, who are also chilling in the courtyard, parked at a table. To boost my reputation here, I’ll say “To the fallen”. After that, I’ll ask the remaining questions to wrap up this objective.

A Proposal From Erik

If you’ve had a romantic history with Rosa, she will give you a farewell kiss. Following this, a scene transition occurs, and Kubayenka emerges. He informs you that Erik challenges you to a duel. Initially, you may decline the offer, but you have the option to reconsider later on.

Your decision on whether or not to engage in a fight with Erik is up to you. This part of the quest can be skipped if you prefer. If you decide against fighting him, the quest will conclude then and there. But if you accept his challenge, be aware that it will be one of the most challenging battles in KCD 2. Once you’ve made your choice, go inform Zizka of your plans.

Zizka can be found in the courtyard. Speak with him and inform him that Erik has issued a challenge for a duel. Let him know that you’ve agreed to this challenge, then proceed to talk to the guard near the gate and request permission to depart.

Duel Accepted (Optional)

Before heading to the duel, remember to sharpen your weapons using the stone at the stables first. It’s also important to boost your health by consuming food or potions. As for combat, feel free to select any perks that suit your style. Don’t forget to bring your top-notch gear, and make use of master strikes and slab attacks whenever possible during the fight. Enjoy the duel!

Should you choose to engage in the duel, a cinematic sequence unfolds where you witness Henry traveling to Sigismund’s camp to confront Erik. Prior to the battle, have a conversation with Erik. If you manage to pass the skill checks successfully during this chat, it significantly boosts your chances of emerging victorious from the ensuing duel.

Erik proves to be a formidable foe, able to withstand numerous attacks. Consequently, the battle may drag on for some time. Maintain your composure, exercise patience, and concentrate on minimizing damage to yourself. If you find the encounter excessively challenging, you always have the option to revert to a prior save and forgo the duel.

The Siege Begins

After Erik has been permanently vanquished, Markvart von Aulitz will besiege Suchdol on behalf of Sigismund. This means that Sigismund’s army did not withdraw after their previous mission and they are planning to return for the silver. Regardless of whether you choose to accept the duel or not, this situation remains unchanged. Once the siege begins, a new quest will follow in Civitas Pragensis within Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
