Netflix has released the formal trailer for the forthcoming comedy titled “Kinda Pregnant,” featuring Amy Schumer who was nominated for a Golden Globe. Viewers can stream this movie starting from February 5, 2025.
In her envy towards her best friend’s pregnancy, Lainy dons a false baby belly… and unexpectedly encounters the man she has always admired. (This version maintains the original meaning while using more casual language to make it easier to read.)

What happens in the Kinda Pregnant trailer?
The video showcases Lainy, portrayed by Schumer, who feigns pregnancy out of envy towards her best friend’s real pregnancy. It emphasizes the absurd circumstances she finds herself in as she maintains her deception. Joining the cast are Jillian Bell (Brittany Runs a Marathon), Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth), Damon Wayans Jr. (Players), Brianne Howey (Ginny & Georgia), Alex Moffat (Saturday Night Live), Joel David Moore (Avatar), Lizze Broadway (Gen V), Urzila Carlson (future Ozi, Voice of the Forest) and Francis Benhamou (Arranged).
The movie titled “Kinda Pregnant” is helmed by director Tyler Spindel, with a script penned jointly by Julie Paiva and Schumer, inspired by Paiva’s original concept. This production is brought to you by Adam Sandler, Tim Herlihy, Judit Maull, Kevin Grady, Eli Thomas from Happy Madison Productions, Molly Sims for Something Happy Productions, Schumer herself, and Alex Saks from Saks Picture Company. Barry Bernardi and Michael D. Robins serve as executive producers.
In recent times, Schumer has embarked on a new solo film venture following her role as the lead actress in 2018’s I Feel Pretty. Her latest roles were seen in Netflix’s Unfrosted alongside Jerry Seinfeld and Melissa McCarthy, and in the fantasy comedy IF alongside Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski.
