On August 8, 2024, it was announced that TVING has finalized the cast for the upcoming K-drama “Dear X,” starring actress Kim You-Jung. Joining her in the series are actors Kim Young-Dae, Kim Do-Hoon, and Lee Yeol-Eum.

According to ET News, both main actors shared their thoughts about their upcoming suspenseful K-drama. The actress from “My Demon” stated, “As I delved into the original story, script, and characters within it, this project seemed increasingly intriguing.” Additionally, Young-Dae expressed, “I will strive to deliver an outstanding performance, taking my responsibilities seriously.”

In this drama, You-Jung portrays Baek A-Jin, an eminent actress known for her powerful character and striking beauty. However, beneath her radiant exterior hides a troubling truth that eventually surfaces. Meanwhile, Young-Dae plays Yoon Jun-Seo, who has consistently stood by her side, sometimes choosing the less traveled road to do so.

Do-Hoon portrays Kim Jae-Oh, the character who will delve into A-Jin’s troubled self. He will empathize with her struggles and offer his assistance. Additionally, Yeol-Eum takes on the part of Lena, a famous celebrity. She harbors a bright affection for Jun-Seo in the storyline.

In the meantime, filmmaker Lee Eun-Bok is set to direct Dear X. He’s well-known for his work on shows like Sweet Home, Mr. Sunshine, Goblin, and Descendants of the Sun. This new series will debut in 2025 on TVING.
