Killing Floor 3 delayed to later in 2025

Tripwire Interactive has chosen to postpone the launch of Killing Floor 3 until later in 2025. This decision follows feedback from a recent closed beta, where players were given early access to the game. Unfortunately, the beta version did not meet expectations for many gamers, and Tripwire will be incorporating community criticism to make necessary improvements before the final Version 1.0 release of the game.

Tripwire Interactive announced on social media that Killing Floor 3’s release has been postponed. In a press statement, they explained that this decision is to address some common complaints about the game, such as its performance and stability, user interface, lighting, and weapon feel. Furthermore, they confirmed that after launch, players will have the option to choose their perk and character separately in an update.

At a recent sneak peek, we got an early play of Killing Floor 3 before its recent Closed Beta test. Although the levels were rather dim and characters were locked into their specific abilities (perks), it showed potential too. The mantling, swift dash, and powerful slide movements seemed like significant improvements to gameplay, and the monsters looked truly terrifying, especially when we blasted them to pieces. However, there was some unease among gamers regarding the new visual style of the game.

Despite the criticism from fans, Tripwire Interactive plans to invest effort into enhancing various aspects of Killing Floor 3 that have been pointed out as areas for improvement. Keep an eye on Shacknews for further news and updates about Killing Floor in the meantime.
