Killer Klowns From Outer Space Remake in Development by Ryan Gosling

It appears that Amazon MGM Studios is teaming up with Oscar-nominated actor Ryan Gosling, known for films like “La La Land” and the upcoming “Barbie,” to revamp the horror comedy “Killer Klowns From Outer Space.” This project is based on the 1988 cult classic by the Chiodo brothers. The announcement precedes the upcoming 35th anniversary celebration of its initial cinema release.

The sci-fi horror-comedy film “Killer Klowns From Space” was helmed by director Stephen Chiodo, who collaborated with his brother Charles Chiodo on the screenplay. Both brothers, alongside their sibling Edward Chiodo, also took on producer roles for this project. The original cast included Grant Cramer as Mike, Suzanne Snyder as Debbie, John Allen Nelson as Officer Dave Hansen, Royal Dano as Farmer Gene Green, John Vernon as Officer Curtis Mooney, and Christoper Titus as Bob McReed. Notably, Charles Chiodo played the role of Jojo the Klownzilla in the film.

Who is involved in the Killer Klowns From Outer Space remake?

As per recent news, Ryan Gosling and his production partner, Jessie Henderson, through their company General Admission, are working on a remake of “Killer Klowns from Outer Space.” At this point, it’s undecided whether or not Gosling will take on an acting role in the project. The development is only just beginning.

In simple terms, it’s anticipated that the horror-comedy remake will be included in a three-year agreement called the first-look deal between Amazon Studios and MGM Studios. Apart from Gosling and Henderson, the Chiodo brothers are rumored to have some role in the project as producers.

In the movie, a tent-like spaceship resembling a circus tent descends in a rural area close to a quaint town. However, these clownish invaders are no bumbling fools; they weaponize popcorn, peanuts, and caramel corn into harmless-looking yet destructive toys of chaotic chaos!
