Actors Kiefer Sutherland (from Designated Survivor) and Rebel Wilson (known for Pitch Perfect) have confirmed their participation as the main characters in an upcoming Christmas comedy called “Tinsel Town.” Filming is currently happening in the northern part of England, specifically at Leeds’ Versa Studios. You can expect to see this movie on Sky Cinema on Christmas Day 2025.
What is Tinsel Town about?
The plot revolves around Bradley Mack, a self-important action movie star, who faces an unexpected career downfall when his action franchise is suddenly terminated. Believing his Hollywood days are over, he ventures to England in search of a fresh start as a serious actor on the West End stage. However, his persistent agent has different plans and assigns him instead to a quaint snow-covered village for their peculiar adaptation of Cinderella. There, Bradley struggles with rehearsals alongside an eclectic group of local characters. In the process, he unexpectedly finds a glimmer of fresh starts in Jill, a no-nonsense choreographer.
Chris Foggin will take the helm as director for a screenplay penned by Frazer Flintham, Adam Brown, and Piers Ashworth, with additional contributions from Jake Brunger. The movie is being overseen by executive producers Julia Stuart, Laura Grange, Piers Tempest, and Martin Owen, with Matt Williams and Pascal serving as the main producers. This production is a collaboration between Sky and Future Artists Entertainment.
