As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for historical dramas, I can hardly contain my excitement over the upcoming film, “Pressure.” The stellar cast, led by Kerry Condon, Brendan Fraser, and Andrew Scott, promises an unparalleled viewing experience that will surely leave audiences on the edge of their seats.

In simple terms, Studio Canal and Working Title have revealed a joint project titled “Pressure“. BAFTA award winner and Oscar nominee Kerry Condon has landed her next part, working alongside Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott in the upcoming D-Day film.

Filming for a movie directed by Anthony Maras, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Olivier Award winner David Haig (known for his play “Hotel Mumbai”), will start in September in the UK. The film is based on Haig’s play and it delves into the emotional and military strain faced by crucial members of Dwight D. Eisenhower’s team during the 72 hours before the Normandy invasion.

The story unfolds the genuine ordeal faced by James Stagg, the British Meteorological Officer, who bore the burden of communicating the highly uncertain weather forecasts to General Eisenhower, whose D-Day invasion’s outcome heavily relied on these predictions.

Fraser is set to play Eisenhower, famously known as Ike, a U.S. Army General and the Allies’ Supreme Commander, who would eventually serve as the 34th President of the United States (1953-61). Eisenhower was highly admired for his leadership in the war. Condon is going to portray Eisenhower’s trusted aid, Captain Kay Sumersby, who initially worked as his driver and later served as his personal secretary. Scott will take on the role of Meteorologist Stagg.
