Amazon Studios, in partnership with MGM, unveiled the trailer for their upcoming action comedy titled “The Pickup.” This hilarious flick stars Academy Award nominee Eddie Murphy (known for his role in Beverly Hills Cop) and Pete Davidson (from The King of Staten Island). Mark your calendars, as this R-rated film is set to premiere on August 6th – exclusively available for streaming on Prime Video.
In the movie, a regular money delivery job spirals out of control as incompatible armored truck operators Russell (Murphy) and Travis (Davidson) find themselves under attack by merciless thieves, orchestrated by cunning mastermind Zoe, who has more than just the cargo in mind. Amidst the ensuing pandemonium, this unexpected pair must maneuver through perilous situations, personality conflicts, and a progressively disastrous day that seems to worsen with each passing moment.

In the video, you’ll find Murphy and Davidson, two characters finding themselves in the thick of a heist orchestrated by Zoe, played by Keke Palmer. It showcases some thrilling action scenes mixed with laughter as they confront treacherous criminals who aim to swipe their money-laden truck. Additionally, the star-studded cast boasts Eva Longoria, Jack Kesy, Marshawn Lynch, Roman Reigns, Andrew Dice Clay, Jef Holbrook, and Ismael Cruz Córdova.
The film ‘Pickup’ is helmed by director Tim Story (known for Fantastic Four) from a script penned by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider. This production is orchestrated by Story, Murphy, John Davis, John Fox, and Charisse Hewitt-Webster. The executive producers are Burrows, Mider, Ross Fanger, Jeremy Stein, and Vicky Mara Story.
