Kate Siegel & David Dastmalchian to Star in Zombie Movie Epilogue

As a die-hard horror fan with a penchant for gripping narratives and exceptional performances, I am beyond thrilled about the upcoming project, Epilogue! Kate Siegel and David Dastmalchian, two of my favorite actors in the genre, are joining forces yet again, this time as a zombie-apocalypse-surviving couple on a quest to protect their infected daughter.

In the upcoming action-horror production titled “Epilogue,” actors Kate Siegel and David Dastmalchian will portray parents who embark on a mission to safeguard their daughter, who has been infected with zombies.

The final act unfolds one year following a worldwide zombie catastrophe, focusing on a duo venturing perilously in search of a remedy for their afflicted child.

Who’s the team behind Epilogue?

As reported by Deadline, it’s been announced that Michael Fimognari, director of “The Fall of the House of Usher,” will take charge of the film “Epilogue.” The screenplay for this project is written by both Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason.

Next week, The Coven will begin selling rights at the American Film Market, following the strong box office performance of Terrifier 3. This upcoming film is being produced by Todd Garner from Mortal Kombat, along with Broken Road Productions, as well as Courtney Petrakis and Brittney McDade.

In addition to Siegel, Mike Flanagan – another regular collaborator – is also involved with the project as a producer.

A year following the alleged ending of the zombie outbreak, the story focuses on a desperate pair embarking on a quest to discover a cure for their afflicted daughter.” (paraphrased from Deadline)

Siegel and Dastmalchian have made a significant impact on horror enthusiasts through their contributions to numerous horror productions. Notably, Siegel has been part of many projects by Flanagan, such as Oculus, Hush, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Gerald’s Game, The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, and The Fall of the House of Usher. Their latest collaboration in this genre is Epilogue.

Siegel recently worked behind the camera and served as a director in a segment of V/H/S/Beyond.

Conversely, Dastmalchian, who has recently appeared in the movie “Late Night with the Devil,” is often recognized for his performances in films such as “The Dark Knight,” “Prisoners,” “Ant-Man,” “The Belko Experiment,” “The Suicide Squad,” “Dune,” “Boston Strangler,” “The Boogeyman,” and “Oppenheimer.

In a recent collaboration, Dastmalchian and Siegel featured prominently in the science fiction drama “The Life of Chuck,” directed by Flanagan.
