Kartoon Studios Launches First “Stan Lee Universe” Project

Kartoon Studios, in partnership with GFM Animation from the UK, have announced that “Heroes At Large” and “Silver Sentinel” will be the initial offerings from their collaborative lineup of computer-generated animated films, which are inspired by tales from the Stan Lee Universe.

Kartoon and GFM will present the projects to distributors at this year’s European Film Market.

Heroes At Large” introduces us to Bill and Joe, two ordinary best friends who are electricians and dads living their comfortable lives in New York, complete with loving families, delicious pizza, and favorite sports. However, this idyllic life is set for a dramatic change. The story unfolds as these two men transform from average Joes to intergalactic heroes, battling the mightiest force in the cosmos. Despite the strain on their friendship, they persevere, eventually realizing that their true strength lies not in supernatural powers but in their enduring bond – their friendship, which proves to be their ultimate superpower.

In the story of Silver Sentinel, the protagonist leads a double life – by night, she’s a crime-fighting superhero in a silver mask, and by day, she juggles being a businesswoman and a PTA mom. Her 14-year-old daughter, Joey, is navigating her own coming-of-age journey, made more complex when she discovers unexpected powers. As the Sentinel’s abilities wane and Joey’s grow stronger, their usual mother-daughter squabbles intensify. They must learn to bridge their differences and rebuild their bond to vanquish an eccentric old adversary together.
