A new trailer for Karate Kid: Legends has been released.
The upcoming sixth movie in the well-loved Karate Kid series, titled “Karate Kid: Legends,” is set to hit theaters in May. In this installment, you’ll see familiar faces like Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan, alongside other talented actors.

What happens in the Karate Kid: Legends trailer?
The trailer for The Karate Kid: Legends finds Ralph Macchio once again taking on the character Daniel LaRusso, while Jackie Chan, star of the 2010 Karate Kid movie, returns as Mr. Han. They join forces to mentor a fresh student named Li Fong, portrayed by Ben Wang, in the art of martial arts.
In the movie “Karate Kid: Legends,” young kung fu expert Li Fong (Wang), who hails from Beijing, experiences a heart-wrenching family event that forces him and his mother to relocate to New York City. Struggling to adapt in his new environment, Li finds it difficult to leave behind his past, even as he attempts to make friends with his fellow students. Despite his desire for peace, Li finds himself embroiled in trouble frequently.
A chance encounter with a new friend puts him on the path to a karate tournament, but his kung fu abilities alone might not be sufficient. To help him, his kung fu master Mr. Han (Chan) brings in the original Karate Kid, Daniel LaRusso (Macchio), and Li learns to combine their fighting styles into one powerful martial art technique for an epic final battle.
Legends” unfolds three years following the events depicted in Netflix’s show “Cobra Kai.” Notably, the ensemble features actors like Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, and Ming-Na Wen.
The movie is helmed by director Jonathan Entwistle, known for his work on “The End of the Fing World”. The screenplay was penned by Rob Lieber, with Karen Rosenfelt taking on the role of producer. Additionally, Macchio and Jenny Hinkey are serving as executive producers.
In U.S. cinemas starting May 30, 2025, the highly-anticipated movie “Karate Kid: Legends” will be brought to you by Sony Pictures Releasing.
