Kaos Trailer Previews Netflix Dark Comedy Starring Jeff Goldblum

As a gamer with a deep appreciation for mythology and a soft spot for dark comedies, I can hardly contain my excitement for Netflix’s upcoming series, Kaos! The trailer alone has me hooked, and Jeff Goldblum as Zeus is an inspired choice that I find absolutely divine.

I just got excited watching the first trailer for the new Netflix show, “Kaos” – a mythological dark comedy! Guess who’s playing the big man himself? None other than the brilliant Jeff Goldblum as Zeus! Can’t wait to see what adventures await us in this godly world!

What happens in the Kaos trailer?

The new trailer shows off an angry Zeus (Goldblum) as he seems fed up with humanity, and slowly becomes paranoid with the fact that his reign may be ending. The trailer also highlights the rest of the cast, which includes Janet McTeer, Cliff Curtis, David Thewlis, Killian Scott, Debi Mazar, and Aurora Perrineau.

Kaos is set to premiere on Netflix exclusively on August 29, 2024.

Check out the new Kaos trailer below (watch other trailers and clips):

“Zeus, long reigning as king of the gods, has never faced a real challenge to his rule – until one day he finds a wrinkle on his forehead. Interpreting this as a sign of an ancient prophecy that predicts his downfall, Zeus begins to experience anxiety and becomes convinced that his demise is imminent. As his fear takes hold, the almighty god starts to self-destruct in dangerous ways, seeing threats everywhere.”

As a fervent admirer, let me share that the captivating series titled “Kaos” is brought to life by the brilliant mind of Charlie Covell, who has previously left his mark on Netflix with the critically acclaimed teen dark comedy “The End of the F***ing World.” This enthralling 10-episode production offers a fresh, modern take on Greek mythology, delving into intriguing themes such as gender politics, power dynamics, and the complexities of life in the underworld. The ensemble cast includes Rakie Ayola portraying Persephone, Stephen Dillane taking on the role of Prometheus, Misia Butler as Caeneus, Stanley Townsend as Minos, and Leila Farzad as Ari. Billie Piper and Suzy Eddie Izzard are also set to make special appearances in this extraordinary production.
