Kannappa Release Date: Vishnu Manchu, Prabhas, and Mohanlal's mythological drama to hit big screens on THIS day

As a seasoned film critic with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa is shaping up to be quite the spectacle. The ambitious project, with its star-studded cameos, has certainly piqued my curiosity. The inclusion of stars like Prabhas as Nandi, Mohanlal in a crucial role, Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati, and Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva is nothing short of fascinating.

Vishnu Manchu’s upcoming Hindu mythological drama titled Kannappa, which has been generating a lot of buzz, is his ambitious dream project as a Telugu star. The film has garnered attention due to its special cameo appearances by actors like Prabhas and Mohanlal, along with others. Notably, the producers have recently revealed the release date for this highly anticipated movie.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m excited to share that I recently posted an update on X (formerly Twitter) about my upcoming film, Kannappa. Instead of competing with the much-anticipated releases like Ram Charan’s Game Changer and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, we’ve strategically scheduled our premiere for April 25, 2025. Can’t wait to see you all at the cinemas!

One standout aspect of this movie is its impressive roster of guest appearances from well-known actors throughout Indian cinema. The story, centered around Kannappa, a devoted follower of Shiva, will see Prabhas portraying Nandi. Reports also suggest that Mohanlal may make an important cameo appearance in the film as well.

Instead, Kajal Aggarwal will portray a unique depiction of Goddess Parvati, whereas Bollywood star Akshay Kumar will briefly appear as Lord Shiva.

Recently, the creators of the movie Kannappa faced an issue when a photo of Prabhas from the film’s set spread across social media platforms. Swiftly recognizing this, they promptly took action to take down the picture.

Yet, they failed to act proactively to stop future occurrences of this type of leak, instead opting to announce a reward of INR 5 Lakhs for anyone who could help pinpoint the origin of the leak via an official statement.

Additionally, they made an earnest appeal to the fans of Prabhas, asking them to appreciate the effort that went into making the movie by avoiding any sharing or engagement with unauthorized footage from the sets of the film starring Vishnu Manchu.

For those unfamiliar, the team of Kannappa embarked on a trip to see the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas before the movie’s premiere.

Here’s a glimpse:

Directed by Mohan Babu, the cast and crew gave a reverend kickstart to the ambitious project.
