Kannappa: Ram Gopal Varma’s review of Vishnu Manchu starrer ‘made him cry’ amid fans hailing Prabhas’ cameo in film

Everyone’s attention is currently focused on the recently unveiled Telugu film Kannappa, starring notable appearances by Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, among others. The movie made its debut on June 27, and within just a day, it has been met with robust, favorable feedback.

Now, Vishnu Manchu has made public a unique note he got from his colleague, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma.

Ram Gopal Varma’s message for Vishnu Manchu

After releasing his movie “Kannappa”, Vishnu Manchu showed a snapshot of a recent text he got from Ram Gopal Varma to someone.

The director openly stated that he doesn’t subscribe to the belief in gods and devotion, and therefore avoids films centered around such themes. However, when it comes to Kannappa, things were exceptional.

In his praise for Vishnu’s role as Thinnadu, RGV stated, “In the character of Thinnadu, it wasn’t just acting, but you became a living symbol of devotion, much like a high priest who carries intense power, leaving me utterly amazed.

RGV lauds Vishnu Manchu’s stint amid hype for Prabhas’ cameo

Instead of being thrilled by Prabhas’ brief role as Rudra in the movie, director Ram Gopal Varma finds no compelling reason to go to the cinema for Kannappa. However, towards the end of his statement, he expresses that he would purchase a ticket and watch the film solely because he is eager to witness Vishnu Manchu on-screen.

As a devoted fan, I’m planning to purchase a ticket at the theater to witness you, even though it seems others are primarily there for Prabhas.

Kannappa box office collection so far

In the Telugu-speaking regions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Kannappa’s box office debut was impressive, earning a staggering 110 million rupees on its first day.

Even though the star’s influence appears to propel the movie’s triumph, it’s anticipated that it will leave a substantial impact in the upcoming days.
