In the forthcoming Telugu fantasy film titled “Kannappa”, several well-known stars, including Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohanlal, Kajal Aggarwal, and others, will make captivating appearances as cameos.
Lately, Vishnu Manchu has revealed the amount of screen time allocated for Prabhas’ cameo in the movie.
In an exclusive chat with iDream Media, I (Vishnu Manchu) was asked about the highly anticipated guest appearance by Prabhas in my movie. He’s set to portray the enigmatic character of Rudra, a reclusive figure in the storyline.
If asked more about the length of Prabhas’ appearance in the movie given it’s a cameo role, Vishnu subtly suggested that viewers will have an opportunity to watch him for approximately the final 50 minutes of the film.
Regarding whether Prabhas’ appearance lasts fewer than 15-20 minutes, he responded, “It might be slightly longer.” Vishnu additionally verified that Prabhas will act alongside both his and Mohan Babu’s characters in the film.
In the subsequent part of the interview, Vishnu Manchu shared an interesting detail: unlike Prabhas, Mohanlal’s character Kirrata appears on screen for only about 15 minutes in the movie. Simultaneously, Akshay Kumar’s role as Lord Shiva is visible for approximately 10 minutes.
For those unfamiliar, the overall duration of the film “Kannappa” has been set at 3 hours and 10 minutes. This suggests that Prabhas’ role may be substantial, as his screen time appears to be more extensive compared to most other special appearances in films.
Regarding the movie titled “Kannappa,” it’s set to premiere in theaters on June 27, 2025. Production has wrapped up, with just some final tweaks during post-production left to do.
The narrative is centered around the legendary character Kannappa, initially an avowed non-believer, who eventually embarked on a transformative spiritual odyssey and converted into a fervent worshiper of Lord Shiva.
