In the summer of 2025, the film featuring Vishnu Manchu titled “Kannappa” was released in cinemas on June 27th. As the film continues to captivate audiences in theaters, it appears that the producers have secured a significant agreement for its Hindi television broadcast rights.
Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa Hindi TV rights
As per information from Telugu PRO BA Raju’s team, the television rights for the fantasy film’s Hindi version have been purchased for an impressive sum of 200 million rupees. At present, the details regarding the network that acquired it are still unconfirmed.
It’s worth noting that Vishnu Manchu previously highlighted his preference for the movie’s digital release to be delayed until after a 10-week run in cinemas, ensuring its presence on the OTT platform only later.
Kannappa movie cameos
In the film “Kannappa,” Vishnu Manchu plays the lead role, and it boasts a multitude of well-known actors making special appearances. Beyond the main cast, notable figures such as Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal significantly contributed to the storyline with their portrayals of pivotal characters.
In this story, Prabhas took on the character of the ancient deity Rudra, while Akshay Kumar embodied Lord Shiva, and Kajal Aggarwal portrayed Goddess Parvati.
Incidentally, there’s been news that Akshay Kumar asked for a substantial fee for his brief appearance in the film. In contrast, Prabhas and Mohanlal chose not to receive payment for their roles.

The story of Kannappa revolves around Thinnadu, a youthful woodsman who does not believe in any deity. Yet, on an unforgettable day, Thinnadu stumbles upon a Shiva Lingam deep within the forest and begins to pay tribute to this divine symbol.
The movie centers around a man’s transformation into an ardent follower of Lord Shiva from Hindu lore, mirroring the tale of Kannappa, which derives from ancient mythological texts and portrays him as a holy figure.
Additionally, the movie showcased well-known actors such as Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji, Siva Balaji, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, and many others in significant parts.
