As a dedicated follower and avid fan of Kannada television industry, I have always admired the talent and charisma displayed by actors like Charith Balappa. However, recent allegations against him have left me utterly disheartened and disillusioned.
29-year-old actress who works in Kannada television accused popular actor Charith Balappa of sexual misconduct last week. The accusations include harassment, assault, threats, and intimidation that allegedly occurred from November 1, 2023 to December 13, 2024, as stated in the police report filed against him.
The woman under discussion, through her grievance, stated that she encountered Balappa back in 2017 since they were both part of the television industry. She alleged that he took advantage of her kindness, demanded romantic affection from her, and coerced physical intimacy against her will.
Yet, when the actress declined to meet his startling requests, Charith Balappa made threats to tarnish her reputation. Furthermore, aware that she resided independently, he once forcefully entered her home accompanied by several of his companions, causing a disturbance and intimidating her.
Beyond the excitement, I’ve discovered some disturbing news. This beloved Kannada TV actor didn’t just stop at asking for money or threatening me with defamatory statements. He also held private photos of mine as leverage, vowing to share them on social media platforms. Worse still, he bragged about distributing these photos as WhatsApp forwards, even hinting that the group included several other TV actors too.
According to the accounts, Charith allegedly intimidated a woman by boasting about his wealth, political ties, and associations with influential criminals in the community. This tactic was intended to pressure her into filing an FIR and numerous charges against her, ultimately leading to her imprisonment.
He not only made a chilling threat to take her life, but also to inflict emotional distress on the actress. The 29-year-old woman recognized Charith as someone who had been previously married.
In my expertise as a lifestyle advisor, I’d like to share an unfortunate incident that came to light recently. A talented actress, known for her roles in Kannada and Telugu serials since 2017, found herself entangled with a troubling situation in 2023. This individual, who I refer to as the ‘accused’, pursued a romantic relationship with her against her wishes. This persistent pursuit led to mental torment, death threats, and even threats of murder. An FIR was lodged at the Rajarajeshwari Nagar police station under multiple charges, including Sections 115 (2), 308(2), 352, 351(2), 75(1)(i) and 75(1)(ii) R/w 3(5) of the BNS, against the Kannada television actor who was arrested on the same.
