Kamal Haasan’s older sibling, Charuhasan (who is also an actor-director), has been hospitalized following a fall right before Diwali. This information was made public by their daughter Suhasini Maniratnam through a post on Instagram about his current health status.

In her touching message, the actress posted several images and a video of her with her father from his hospital room, capturing a special moment between them. Accompanying the post, she penned down, “Just before midnight on Diwali eve, we had a fall. Our Diwali was spent in an emergency room. However, we are all prepared for surgery.

Additionally, R Madhavan and Khushbu Sundar both left comments on the post, expressing their well wishes. Maddy wrote, “He is an incredible fighter who will return home and recover quickly,” while Khushbu expressed, “He is the strongest person I’ve ever known. His positive energy is indomitable and he will be back in good health soon.

In the video, the actor conveyed to Suhasini that he is prepared for the surgery and told her to inform his wife, “I’m doing well. I’ll return and visit you again. I’ll be okay.” Previously, this 93-year-old filmmaker was hospitalized in August due to age-related ailments.

After that point, Charuhasan made an appearance in the film titled Haraa. This action-thriller featured Mic Mohan as the main character and was directed by Vijay Sri G, who had been away from mainstream cinema for 16 years prior to this release. The movie debuted in June of this year with Anumol playing the female lead. Unfortunately, it received unfavorable feedback from viewers and can now be watched on Amazon Prime Video.

In 2019, Charuhasan took on a leading part in the film titled “Dha Dha 87,” which was directed by Vijay Sri G. This romantic drama served as a spiritual sequel to the movie “Sathya” starring Kamal Haasan. Notably, Saroja, grandmother of Keerthy Suresh, portrayed the female lead character in this production too.
