As a lifestyle expert with a rich background in the entertainment industry, I must say that it’s always disappointing when one can’t physically be present at long-awaited events like the premiere of Kalki 2898 AD in Japan. However, understanding the rigors and demands of the film industry, I can empathize with Prabhas’ predicament due to his sprain during shoot.
The movie “Kalki 2898 AD,” featuring Prabhas, is scheduled to premiere on Japanese screens on January 3, 2025. Despite anticipation for his appearance, it appears that the Baahubali actor may not be attending the release in Japan.
In a recently posted video, the actor expressed regret for missing the Japan premiere due to an ankle injury he received while filming, preventing him from attending in person.
Greetings from me in Japanese, dear fans! I am deeply grateful for the love and support you’ve extended towards me over the years. I’ve longed to visit Japan, but unfortunately, due to a sprain during filming, I cannot join you at this time. Rest assured, we shall meet again soon and celebrate the release of Kalki 2898 AD together. See you all on January 3rd in Japan!

2898 AD’s movie, titled Kalki, features Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. This film is set in a bleak future scenario. The story unfolds 6000 years following the Kurukshetra War from the Mahabharata, where Kashi emerges as Earth’s last city. In this year, it falls under the oppressive rule of Supreme Yaskin, who claims divinity and governs a totalitarian regime.
In this emerging world, ordinary folks face daily hardships trying to earn a living. However, there’s renewed optimism among them with the anticipated arrival of Kalki, the 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu according to Hindu legends. It is believed that he will put an end to the current age of conflict and strife known as Kali Yuga.
In this movie directed by Nag Ashwin, significant roles are played by actors like Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, Shobhana, Saswata Chatterjee, Brahmanandam, Pasupathy, Anna Ben, among others. Notably, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, Ram Gopal Varma, and SS Rajamouli made brief appearances in the film as cameos.
In the future, Prabhas is actively engaged with a film titled “PrabhasHanu” or “Fauji”. This project is being helmed by director Hanu Raghavapudi of “Sita Ramam” fame. It’s a period piece set in the past. Additionally, he has other films like “The Raja Saab” and “Spirit” lined up as well.
