As per a report by Let’s Cinema, the sci-fi mythological epic will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from August 23, 2024. The movie is rumored to be accessible in languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The film, by director Nag Aswin, is set in a bleak future and takes place 6000 years after the Kurukshetra War from the Mahabharata. In the year 2898 AD, Kasi stands as Earth’s last city, governed by a totalitarian regime headed by Supreme Yaskin, who claims divine status.
In the evolving world, where many people find it hard to earn a decent living, there’s a glimmer of optimism emerging. This hope comes from the foretold appearance of the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, known as Kalki. It is believed that Kalki will usher in an end to this present age, the Kali Yuga.
The film draws inspiration from ancient Hindu scriptures, weaving together a captivating and exciting universe that blends mythology and science fiction elements. In the main cast, you’ll find Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone (whose voice is provided by Sobhita Dhulipala), and Kamal Haasan.
Alongside its main stars, the film features a strong ensemble cast that includes Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, Shobhana, Saswata Chatterjee, Brahmanandam, Pasupathy, Anna Ben, and numerous others in important parts.
Not only that, but the film boasted unexpected guest roles from Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, SS Rajamouli, Ram Gopal Varma, and others. Additionally, it was announced that the next chapter in the Kalki sci-fi saga, Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2, would be released as part of the Kalki Cinematic Universe’s second installment.

Moving on to Prabhas’ upcoming projects, he will star as the lead in the movie titled “The Raja Saab.” This film is helmed by director Maruthi and is reportedly a blend of romance, comedy, and horror genres. In this project, Prabhas will be seen in a light-hearted character.
The movie will premiere on the large screens on April 10, 2025, featuring actresses like Malavika Mohanan and Niddhi Agerwal along with several others in significant roles.
