I’ve been utterly thrilled since the announcement of the upcoming movie, which was initially titled Production No 7 but is now known as Kalamkaval. This masterpiece is being generously produced by Mammootty Kampany, a fact that only adds to my anticipation. Besides the legendary Mammootty, the film also boasts Vinayakan, the talented actor from Jailer, in a role that portrays a positive character arc. I can hardly wait to witness this cinematic journey unfold!
Although the rest of the cast members are still undisclosed, the upcoming film represents Jithin K Jose’s directorial debut following his work as a writer in Dulquer Salmaan’s Kurup. The screenplay for this movie is jointly written by both Jithin and Jishnu Sreekumar.
Faisal Ali is in charge of the camera work, while Mujeeb Majeed creates the film’s musical score. Meanwhile, Praveen Prabhakar is responsible for editing the movie.
Recently, Mammootty appeared in the lead role of a movie titled “Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse.” This film, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, is a mix of mystery, comedy, and thriller genres. It follows the story of a former police officer who, despite his disgrace, remains clever and kind. Now he runs his own detective agency.
Working together with an assistant, he endeavors to locate the rightful owner of a woman’s handbag. Their investigation eventually exposes a darker and more nefarious criminal activity unfolding in their surroundings.
The movie has Mammootty as its main character, while important parts are given to actors like Gokul Suresh, Sushmitha Bhat, Viji Venkatesh, Siddique, Vineeth, and several others.
