Now, it appears that Kai is firm in his decision regarding whether to proceed with this experimental surgery, aspiring to restore his football career. However, we’re left wondering about the choice he has made.

Did Kai go through with the surgery on General Hospital?

Indeed, General Hospital’s character Kai hasn’t had the operation just yet, but he has firmly resolved to proceed with it.

In the General Hospital episode on April 15th, Trina voiced her worries to Ava about Kai potentially undergoing the surgery Drew proposed, fearing he could face paralysis or even death as a result. Ava attempted to reassure her by suggesting that Portia, who has been against it from the start, might be able to change his mind. Yet, she also emphasized that Trina should respect Kai’s decision in the matter.

Later on, when Trina encountered Kai, he shared with her his decision to undergo the surgery. He elaborated that while he acknowledges it’s a slim chance, he feels compelled to do so, as it could potentially enable him to return to football, a sport he passionately adores. Despite her worries resurfacing, Trina decides to stand by him as he expresses confidence in the outcome, believing everything will turn out alright.

Upon examining the experimental procedure, she frankly informed Kai that the odds were not in his favor; out of numerous attempts, only two procedures had been successful, while three patients ended up paralyzed.
