Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 Release Date Set, Streaming Platform Revealed

Following its impressive debut in the anime sphere last year, the Kaiju No. 8 franchise is now preparing for a follow-up, as Production IG has officially revealed the date for Season 2. The series made this exciting announcement on social media, also unveiling a fresh new poster to tantalize fans.

Crunchyroll to begin streaming Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 in July

According to the official social media post from Kaiju No. 8, the second season of this popular show is set to debut globally on July 19, 2025.

According to a recent post from X (previously known as Twitter), the second season of Kaiju No. 8 is scheduled to air on that date at 11:30 PM in Japan Standard Time. Similar to its previous season, Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 will premiere simultaneously in Japan and other countries on the same day and time. You can catch episodes on both X and Crunchyroll.

The mentioned post not only revealed the release date for Kaiju No. 8 Season 2, but it also showcased a fresh one-sheet for the upcoming episodes. The poster prominently displays Kafka Hibino as its central figure, with Isao Shinomiya, the head of the Special Defense Force, standing assertively behind him. Additionally, Kikoru and Narumi Gen are depicted on the lively poster, positioned on either side of the main character.

In the meantime, there’s an additional special episode called “Hoshina’s Day Off” scheduled for release on July 5. This episode will delve into the story of Third Division Vice-Captain Soshiro Hoshina. Just like Kaiju No. 8 Season 1 and 2, it is planned to have a worldwide premiere all at once on X. However, as of now, it’s undecided if this spin-off episode will also be broadcasted on Crunchyroll.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that when Kaiju No. 8 returns for its second season, it’ll be a pleasure to welcome Koki Uchiyama into the fold! He will bring the First Division Captain, Gen Harumi, to life, enriching the franchise with his exceptional talent.
