As a dedicated gamer and avid manga reader with over a decade of experience under my belt, I’m always on the lookout for the next big thing to captivate my imagination. The news that My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen are coming to an end in Shonen Jump has left me feeling both nostalgic and excited for what’s next.
Shōnen Jump manga is approaching the conclusion of My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen series. With these popular titles wrapping up, there’s a need for new shows to gain traction in anime community. Demon Slayer will conclude its storyline through movies, but which series might rise to claim its popularity throne?
As a longtime fan of Shonen Jump manga and anime, I’m thrilled to share my excitement about Kagurabachi, the latest addition to this esteemed roster. Having grown up with iconic series like Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and One Piece, I can confidently say that Kagurabachi is poised to join these giants of the genre.
Kagurabachi To Be Turned Into Anime
Based on recently discovered legal records, it appears that Kagurabachi is slated to receive an anime adaptation in the near future. Shueisha has reportedly submitted a trademark application for “Kagurabachi” in relation to animation production, as well as pre-recorded media and video files.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that this isn’t my first encounter with a trademark for a series that was filed years before its release. For instance, Kaiju No. 8 and Oshi No Ko are popular examples of this phenomenon. In my experience, Sakamoto Days is another example where the trademark was filed in late 2021, but the animation is only scheduled to premiere in Winter 2025.
Based on documents filed by Shueisha in early 2024, it is confirmed that Kagurabachi TV Anime Adaptation will begin production.

In simpler terms, this indicates a possibility of a new Kagurabachi anime being developed, but it doesn’t guarantee that production has already begun. Shueisha is taking these steps to maximize the potential value of their intellectual property once they choose to start producing. Finding an animation studio that is interested in creating the series is likely a crucial first step in this process.
Kagurabachi’s serialization began in September 2023, making it less than a year old. Given its short existence, both animation studios and fans might prefer to hold off on creating an anime adaptation until more details about the narrative have emerged.
