Regarding the storyline of the film, Kadhalikka Neramillai presents a somewhat unrealistic portrayal of contemporary relationships. Characters Shriya and Sid find themselves unexpectedly on a path towards parenthood, following a mix-up at an IVF clinic. There, Shriya was seeking treatment to start her journey into parenthood.

The events that unfold are the meeting of fate between Shriya and Sid. At first, they don’t realize their connection, but they do end up falling in love. However, an unexpected time jump of eight years completely alters the situation. During this period, Shriya gives birth to their biological son named Parthiv.

Shriya and Sid encounter each other, unaware that it’s destiny bringing them together. They fall in love, but then time jumps ahead eight years, causing major changes. Eventually, Shriya becomes the mother of their biological child, Parthiv.

The movie premiered in cinemas on January 14, 2025, coinciding with Pongal festivities and earning approximately Rs. 10 crore at the ticket counter. Funded by Red Giant Movies, it’s been praised for its exceptional music composed by AR Rahman.
