Kadhalan OTT release: Here’s when and where you can watch Prabhudeva and Nagma’s romantic thriller film in 4K

1994 saw the theater release of the romantic thriller “Kadhalan,” starring Prabhudeva and Nagma. This movie, skillfully directed by S Shankar, became popular due to its captivating plotline. In celebration of the upcoming Valentine’s Day, the producers are making available a rejuvenated and enhanced 4K UHD version online for viewing.

When and where to watch Kadhalan 

Starting Valentine’s Day, February 14th, the romantic movie “Kadhalan” will be available for streaming in stunning 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) on the Simply South App. The OTT platform shared the news with the statement, “Timeless love stories never grow old. #Kaadhalan – Restored and enhanced for 4K UHD viewing, coming to Simply South this Valentine’s Day.

The tale of Kadhalan starts when Governor Kakarla Sathyanarayana inaugurates a fresh market in Madras. Soon after his departure, an explosion occurs, causing widespread fear. This act was not a mere coincidence but rather part of Governor Kakarla’s clandestine scheme to undermine the state government and bolster the ruling party.

Simultaneously, the head of a college named Prabhu develops feelings for Shruti, the daughter of Kakarla. To capture her affection, he enrolls in her dance school and becomes proficient in classical dancing. At first, she takes an aversion to him, but eventually returns his affections. However, Kakarla disapproves of her participation in Natyanjali due to safety concerns. Ignoring this, Shruti elopes with Prabhu, unbeknownst to them that another bomb has been placed there.

In shock, Shruti is stunned, whereas Prabha is wrongly implicated and subjected to torment. Upon his release, he reconnects with her, learning that Kakarla’s next objective is a hospital. In quick response, he and Vasanth dash there to prevent an attack. The bomb specialist Malli, deceived by Kakarla, alters the explosion time. Prabha discards the bomb into a river, thus averting catastrophe. Malli slays Kakarla before meeting his own demise. With the danger eliminated, Prabha and Shruti are reunited once more.

The movie titled “Kadhalan” was created under the guidance of director S Shankar, who was also responsible for its screenplay and co-wrote the story with K. T. Kunjumon. Balakumaran wrote the dialogues, while the production was handled by K. T. Kunjumon himself. Prabhudeva and Nagma played the lead roles, and the film’s cinematography was done by Jeeva, with editing by B. Lenin and V. T. Vijayan.
