The lineup of new concert films and variety shows from some of my favorite groups like SEVENTEEN, BLACKPINK, and BTS’s Jimin and Jungkook is truly a dream come true.

2024 will see the release of various K-pop concert movies and variety shows in August. The exciting roster of upcoming releases features SEVENTEEN, BLACKPINK’s concert movies, and a variety show by BTS’s Jikook unit. It appears that Korean pop concert films have emerged as an essential part of the overall K-pop experience recently. Over the past few years, numerous artists have premiered their concert films in cinemas before moving them to streaming platforms.

In addition to this, viewers are introduced to fresh ideas in the realm of variety shows for K-pop fans. Artists no longer need to depend on comebacks or new music launches to engage with their audience. Instead, they can create and showcase various types of variety content. BTS Jimin and Jungkook’s Are You Sure?

As a huge fan, I’m excited to share that although Jungkook and Jimin of BTS are currently serving in the military, their pre-recorded variety show “Are You Sure?” is set to be released on Disney+ on August 8. The first two episodes will be available for viewers to enjoy on the premiere day itself. Afterward, new episodes will drop every Thursday following a weekly release schedule.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled about the upcoming travel adventure starring Jimin and Jungkook, affectionately known as JiKook! This exciting journey will take them to vibrant destinations like Jeju, Sapporo, and New York, where they’ll engage in a variety of activities. Known for their lively antics within BTS, this Disney+ show promises to be the ultimate platform to savor the unique camaraderie between these two charming individuals. Can’t wait to witness their fun-filled escapades!

BigHit Music announced that the summer installment of Jimin and Jungkook’s travel vlog series will feature impromptu excursions.

BLACKPINK Born Pink concert film

1 – Way of paraphrasing: YG Entertainment’s BLACKPINK is offering a unique gift to fans as they celebrate their 8th anniversary. The hit group’s Born Pink World Tour’s cinematic adaptation will be shown in theaters for select screenings on July 31.

Later on, I’ll be fortunate enough to join my bandmates for a mini reunion at the premiere of our Born Pink concert movie in South Korea! On August 9, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa will grace the Pink Carpet, making it an unforgettable event. We’ll have a brief meet-and-greet session with 150 lucky fans, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Can’t wait to see you all there!

Additionally, YG announced that the Born Pink concert film will only feature performances captured at BLACKPINK’s September 16 and 17 shows at Gocheok Dome.

SEVENTEEN’s Follow Again To Cinema

On August 14, SEVENTEEN’s concert film “Follow Again” will have its premiere in South Korea at CGV cinemas. Starting August 21, fans from around the world can also experience this new concert cinema to enjoy SEVENTEEN’s lively performances at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

seventeen’s record label has hinted that their upcoming release, “Follow Again,” will include a live rendition of “MAESTRO” by the entire group, as well as individual unit performances of “Spell,” “LALALI,” and “Cheers to Youth.”
