Jyotika BREAKS SILENCE on negative reviews of Suriya and Bobby Deol starrer Kanguva: ‘Saw films where women are stalked…’

As a die-hard fan of Suriya and his family, I find myself deeply moved by Jyotika’s heartfelt defense of Kanguva. With years of being married to one of Tollywood’s finest actors, I can attest that her words echo the unwavering support that spouses provide during challenging times in an artist’s career.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but express my feelings about the recent release of “Kanguva,” starring none other than Suriya and Bobby Deol. On November 14, this highly anticipated film graced our screens, yet it seems to have left many with mixed emotions, both from the audience and the critics.

Jyotika, on her Instagram account, stood up for the movie “Kanguva” starring Suriya and showcased her pride in her husband’s commitment to the project. She admitted that the initial half-hour of the film didn’t make as strong an impression, and she found the sound to be quite disruptive.

Jyotika added, “It’s common for many Indian films to have flaws, and that’s only reasonable, particularly in a film where there’s a lot of experimentation! To be honest, the first half hour of the three-hour movie might not be perfect. Yet, I must say, it offers an extraordinary cinematic experience!

The Shaitan actress voiced her astonishment at the unfavorable critiques towards Kanguva, wondering aloud why the powerful female action scene in the latter half and the compelling tale of a young boy’s love and deception weren’t given more attention.

Jyotika’s note stated, “I find it surprising that the media and certain groups have given negative reviews to this film. This level of criticism is usually not directed towards big budget movies with outdated stories, filled with stalking scenes, inappropriate dialogues, and excessive action sequences, which I’ve seen before.

Suriya’s wife concluded her note by saying that the team of Kanguva should be proud of their work.

Take a look at the full note below:

Currently, the film titled “Kanguva” is being helmed by director Siva and boasts of actors like Disha Patani, Redin Kingsley, Natty, and others in significant roles. Despite the initial part of the Suriya-starring series failing to impress its audience, the creators are preparing for a second installment that they hope will leave a mark on cinema enthusiasts. There is speculation that Karthi might be cast as the villain in “Kanguva 2”.
