David Koepp on how Jurassic World Rebirth is different from previous trilogy

In a conversation with Empire Magazine, writer David Koepp discussed the forthcoming film Jurassic World: Rebirth. Reflecting on the Jurassic Park series featuring Chris Pratt, Koepp highlighted that the upcoming movie has a unique twist.

Koepp expressed, “The recent films have been delving into the concept, ‘Imagine if they were in our world?’ They did this effectively, and now we aim to investigate what it’s like for them to return to their own. We wanted to convey that we are stepping into the dinosaurs’ environment once more.

Furthermore, Jonathan Bailey, portraying Dr. Henry Loomis in the movie, referred to it as a “tribute” to the classic Steven Spielberg film. He stated, “It truly seems like it’s inviting viewers to appreciate the original movie. It captures that sense of wonder and awe, while not shying away from reintroducing the excitement and fear.

Koepp has been involved with both the 1993 film Jurassic Park and its sequel from 1997, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. In an interview with The Wrap in January 2025 about his return to the series, he expressed his excitement by saying, “It’s not often that you get the opportunity where they give you minimal restrictions, except for the requirement of including dinosaurs.
