As a gaming enthusiast, I’m all hyped up about the upcoming “Happy Gilmore 2” movie and the fact that Travis Kelce, the shining star of the Kansas City Chiefs, is making an appearance in it. Julie Bowen talks about Travis Kelce in new interview

Recently, Julie Bowen has shared insights about collaborating with NFL player Travis Kelce in the forthcoming Netflix continuation of Happy Gilmore 2.

In a recent conversation with TMZ Sports in New York City, the actress from Modern Family voiced her appreciation for Kelce’s on-screen charisma. Bowen commented, “Really, who could be surprised? He’s a shining star, he always has been.” Additionally, she praised her fellow castmate Bad Bunny, calling his performance “outstanding”.

In simpler terms, Bowen will be taking up her character Virginia Venit once more in the cherished comedy series, almost three decades since the initial release of Happy Gilmore. She’s set to work alongside Adam Sandler as Happy Gilmore, Christopher McDonald reprising his role as Shooter McGavin, and Ben Stiller returning as Hal.

Although Netflix hasn’t revealed many details about the plot and characters, a sneak peek trailer hints that Bad Bunny might be Happy’s golf caddie in the movie. Contrastingly, Kelce seems to take on the role of a waiter or club staff member. Furthermore, the sequel boasts an impressive array of celebrity appearances beyond Kelce and Bad Bunny. Notable stars include Eminem, Margaret Qualley, Eric André, Sunny Sandler, Benny Safdie, among others.

Previously, Bowen expressed her shock at being asked to return for Happy Gilmore 2. During an interview on the Inside of You podcast, she confessed that she had initially believed they would cast a younger actress instead. The actress stated, “I never thought they’d bring me back at all. I mean…who am I supposed to be? For Happy Gilmore 2, they’ve got to have a younger woman.” The movie is set to premiere on Netflix on July 25.
