Recently, Jr NTR made an appearance at the gathering celebrating the success of the film “Mad Square.” There, he engaged with the audience. In this event, the actor shared updates on his future projects and affirmed that a sequel to “Devara” titled “Devara Part 2” is currently being developed.
In simpler terms, the actor from RRR stated, “Some people are speculating that Devara 2 won’t materialize. However, I must clarify that the sequel is indeed in the works. At present, we’re experiencing a temporary halt due to the Prasanth Neel project.” (Translated from Telugu)
At the same gathering, Jr NTR shared that he will team up with director Nelson Dilipkumar for a movie, which will be Nelson’s third project in Telugu filmmaking. This upcoming production is expected to be financed by Naga Vamsi, while Anirudh Ravichander is set to resume his role in creating the melodies and scores.
In 2024, the movie “Devara Part 1,” directed by Koratala Siva, made its debut on the big screens. This action-drama film starred Jr NTR in the main role and was the initial chapter of a two-part series that told the story of Devara, the chief of a coastal village, who had a longstanding conflict with Bhaira over illegal arms trading through the Red Sea.
The film concluded on a suspenseful note, sparking diverse reactions from critics but proving to be profitable at the ticket counter. Starring Janhvi Kapoor in her Telugu cinema debut, it boasted an array of talented actors such as Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and numerous others.
Jr NTR is set to make his debut in the Bollywood movie “War 2”, which will be directed by Ayan Mukerji. This action-packed film, starring Hrithik Roshan as the main character, will serve as a sequel to the 2019 hit “War” and will be the next installment in the YRF Spy Universe.
The film featuring Jr NTR as the primary villain is set to hit theaters on August 14, 2025. Additionally, Jr NTR is currently collaborating with director Prasanth Neel on a project, which is provisionally known as Dragon (NTRNEEL).
