In a recent chat with ComingSoon, actor Josh Hartnett talked about the process of turning his hair platinum blonde for the film “Fight or Flight.
The actor expressed that going blond gave him a sense of liberation or something similar. He admitted he didn’t feel like himself before the change. Interestingly, his wife appreciated it off-screen and found it quite stylish. However, the film’s hairstyling team required a more unkempt appearance for the character. They initially found the newly dyed hair very appealing, but they couldn’t keep it as it conflicted with the character’s supposed disheveled look. Consequently, they had to let it grow out.
Over time, the length of my hair elicited diverse responses. Some people thought it looked a bit unkempt yet impressive, while others couldn’t hide their surprise when they encountered me again after a while – like dropping off kids at school or running errands. Their expressions said it all; they were hesitant to comment, perhaps assuming it was my personal preference, but their eyes betrayed curiosity and speculation.
In Fight or Flight, Josh Hartnett portrays Lucas Reyes, an exiled agent who must locate a target during a flight while dodging assassins. He further explained, “We aimed for these fight scenes to be intense yet humorous, as we wanted them to serve a purpose.
Hartnett emphasized that the filming process was challenging due to its tight schedule. “We completed the shooting in roughly 25 days… for some of these extended action sequences, we had just a day or barely two days to capture them.” Additionally, he mentioned it took him approximately two weeks to master and become comfortable with those sequences.
