Luka Dončić’s world was turned upside down with the Dallas Mavericks’ sudden trade of the Slovenian superstar to the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this season. Despite this dramatic move, Dončić continues to do what he does best — dominate. Jordan Brand is supporting this exciting new era for Dončić by dropping not one, but two new signature shoes next month. The Jordan Luka 4 was previewed in February and we got a first look at the new Jordan Luka .77 last week. Now, both models have officially been revealed by the Jumpman team.
Dončić initially wore the Jordan Luka 4 in his first game against the Dallas Mavericks. The new model is tailored to support his every step, cut and drive as it features an updated version of his signature IsoPlate, offering stability and torsional rigidity that secures his feet over the footbed. A Zoom Air unit is included in his signature line for the first time, combining with a Cushlon 3.0 midsole for a smooth ride backed by ample cushioning. Looking to the upper, its lightweight Flightwire cables at the lateral are a callback to one of Dončić’s favorite parts of his Jordan Luka 1. Its court-ready outsole completes the look with a compass motif that replaces the “NESW” letters of the cardinal directions with a “LUKA” callout, nodding to his love for wristwatches.
As for the Jordan Luka .77 — which is named after his jersey number — it’s all about playing outdoors, one of the ways Dončić leveled up his game growing up in Slovenia. Full-length rubber and a high-abrasion mesh have been included specifically for durability, with a full-length dual-density foam present as well. This element combines a firm outer layer and softer interior that features seven strategically placed heel cutouts for smooth movement. As always with his signature sneakers, an IsoPlate brings lateral stability to round out the new model.
For those looking to shop Luka Dončić’s new Jordan Brand silhouettes, both the Jordan Luka 4 and Jordan Luka .77 are set to debut on April 8 via Nike and select retailers at prices of $130 USD and $100 USD respectively. From there, his signature apparel collection is due to drop in May. Stay tuned for more info regarding both models as additional colorways arrive throughout the year.
