Jonathan Majors Eyeing New Superhero Role Following MCU Kang Firing

It appears that Jonathan Majors is rumored to be discussing roles for a possible superhero film, after his dismissal from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

What did Jonathan Majors say about a new superhero movie?

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Majors openly discussed his mental state after facing legal troubles and a dearth of roles in the industry. He mentioned that he’s been perusing scripts and attending meetings, and even had a discussion with a studio concerning a potential smaller-scale superhero movie project.

Majors remarked, “Not connected to the heavyweights, DC or Marvel, but a thrilling tale all the same.” He expressed happiness about reading it. When discussing a possible return to acting, he stated that sometimes it seems impossible, while at other times it feels as if we’re starting anew next week.

On March 21, 2025, Major’s upcoming film titled “Magazine Dreams” is scheduled for release. Previously, it had been speculated as a potential award season contender in 2023; however, due to Major’s arrest and subsequent legal troubles, the film was taken off its initial release calendar.

In 2023, Majors was found guilty of three charges: third-degree assault and second-degree harassment. These charges were brought about due to an incident in the same year where Majors physically attacked Grace Jabbari. The attack involved him striking her across the face with his hand, causing significant pain and a cut behind her ear. Furthermore, he is also accused of grabbing her hand and neck, resulting in bruises and considerable pain.

Due to his conviction, Majors was ordered to participate in a 52-week domestic violence intervention program and serve on probation.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter for a feature about Majors, Michael B. Jordan (who’s starred in every Creed film and directed the most recent one) expressed his desire to create a fourth Creed movie alongside Majors. Jordan feels that Majors has taken all the necessary steps legally to advance and progress in their roles.

Jordan stated, “He was taken into custody, appeared in court, carried out his obligations – I’m uncertain about anything else beyond that.” Regarding Creed IV, I’d be thrilled for the opportunity to collaborate with him on it, as well as other projects. Over the years, I’ve come to know and appreciate him as an individual who is consistently working towards self-improvement, not just as an actor, but also as a man and a human being. I have faith in his abilities.
