A new audio of Jonathan Majors has emerged, revealing a shocking conversation in which the actor seemingly admits to being aggressive with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. This new evidence has reignited discussions about the legal battle that tarnished his career. Majors, once a rising star, was arrested in March 2023 for allegedly assaulting Jabbari. By December 2023, the court found him guilty on counts of assault and harassment. Majors’ acting career took a big dent in the wake of his assault allegations and legal troubles. He was dropped from multiple film projects, notably the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he portrayed Kang the Conqueror.
Here is what Jonathan Majors said about his assault allegations.
What did Jonathan Majors say about his assault allegations?
An unreleased audio recording obtained by Rolling Stone seemingly features a conversation between Jonathan Majors and ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, in which he admits to assaulting her.
This audio recording sounds a bit unclear as there are several intrusive background noises. The outlet stated that this audio recording had been captured days after a fight between Majors and Jabbari in September 2022.
“I’m ashamed I’ve ever—,” Majors starts off and stutters. He then continues “I’ve never [been] aggressive with a woman before. I’ve never aggressed a woman — I aggressed you.”
Jabbari then replies, “You strangled me and pushed me against the car.”
“Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed’,” Majors responded. “That’s never happened to me,” he added.
Jabbari then asked him if his attack was because she had told him something he viewed as sarcasm. However, Majors noted that it was “more than that.”
Jabbari then noted it was “something inside of” the actor, which the latter agreed to and said, “Yeah, towards you.”
This audio surfaced just after Majors’ first major interview since his sentencing, where he was ordered to complete a 52-week domestic violence intervention program. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Majors discussed various topics, including his dismissal from Marvel Studios.
Here, he also stated that he had been abused as a young boy. Moreover, this interview also included comments from co-stars from his films and fellow actors Michael B. Jordan, Matthew McConaughey, and Whoopi Goldberg all of whom vouched for his talent and expressed support.
