Jonathan Lyndon Chase’s Denim Dreamscape Takes Over Acne Studio

Once more, Acne Studios and Philadelphia artist Jonathan Lyndon Chase collaborate, this time presenting a fresh exhibition at their Green Street outlet to mark the debut of the fittingly named “Acne Studio’s Love for Jonathan Lyndon Chase” limited collection.

Currently showcased at the brand’s Green Street store until May 11th, the exhibition titled “Heart Beat Rose” displays a blend of soft sculptures, paintings, and figurative works centered around themes of queer affection and sensuality, portraying the artist’s beloved. In a captivating fusion of fashion and art, several pieces subtly echo Acne’s iconic denim. For instance, heart-shaped pillows suspended in the air mimic the appearance of a jean-clad derriere adorned with pockets.

This exclusive, jointly designed collection showcases timeless brand staples, like the “1981” jeans and tees, creatively reinterpreted by Jonathan Chase’s artistic perspective, along with a variety of home decor products.

Last year, Acne selected Lyndon Chase to design a home-themed set for its Spring/Summer 2025 womenswear catwalk. Here, his talent for creating poignant and luxurious pieces is evident once more, as he delves into the theme of “domestic affection,” examines public spaces, and investigates how Black queer identities manifest within these environments.
